CLEVEREYE · PERSONAL DATA
Privacy policy
How we use your information when you visit our website or contact us.
Last updated: 13 October 2026 · Version 1
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The controller for the CleverEye corporate website is Connecting Line S.A., Greek tax ID 998307762, General Commercial Registry (GEMI) number 59150204000. Contact addresses: 17 Antigonidon Street, 54630 Thessaloniki, Greece, and 132 Syggrou Avenue, 11745 Athens, Greece. Telephone: +30 2310 555090 and +30 210 9231790.
For questions, rights requests or stopping email updates, contact sales@clevereye.eu. You may use “Personal data” as the subject to help us direct your request.
This policy covers visits to our corporate website, contact enquiries and optional updates about our solutions. It does not replace the specific notices and agreements for processing within the CleverEye, People Counting and SLP applications or at customer installations.
2. Information we collect
The contact form requires your full name, email address and message. Company, telephone number and the solution you are interested in are optional. The form cannot be submitted without the required information. You can also contact us directly by email or telephone.
We record your choice about email updates, the associated wording, language, version and submission time. Information comes from you and the related correspondence. Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive information about other people in your message.
When you access the site, the hosting infrastructure processes technical information such as your IP address, request time and address, browser type and response status. The form also uses an identifier derived from your IP address to limit repeated submissions within one minute.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Responding to enquiries, demonstrations and quotations: we use your details for the communication you requested and to follow up on your enquiry. Where you request steps before a possible contract with you, the basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b). For general questions or communication with business representatives, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and organising the related correspondence, Article 6(1)(f).
- Email updates: we rely on your separate consent, Article 6(1)(a). Sending an enquiry does not depend on this consent.
- Security and operation: we process necessary technical information to prevent abusive submissions, diagnose errors and respond to incidents, based on our legitimate interest in keeping our services secure and available, Article 6(1)(f).
- Rights and legal obligations: we handle data protection requests and lawful requests from authorities under Article 6(1)(c). Where necessary to defend a specific legal claim, Article 6(1)(f) applies.
The form is not used to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
4. Optional email updates
The updates checkbox is unchecked by default. Selecting it allows us to send you news and updates about CleverEye solutions. Our team sends these messages through Outlook. The form does not automatically add you to a mailing list or, by itself, verify ownership of the email address.
You can withdraw consent at any time, free of charge, by emailing sales@clevereye.eu or replying to one of our update emails with a request to stop. Withdrawal stops subsequent promotional messages without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing or how we handle your enquiry.
5. Who has access
Enquiries are delivered to sales@clevereye.eu and handled through company email. The form does not create a separate enquiry record in the WordPress database.
Access is limited to the relevant company staff handling enquiries or technical support and the providers supporting those functions: IP.GR for hosting and Microsoft 365 for company email through Outlook. Information may be disclosed to competent authorities when legally required or to professional advisers when necessary for a specific legal matter.
The updates option covers communication from Connecting Line about CleverEye; it is not consent to promotional messages from third parties.
6. International processing
Using Microsoft 365 may involve processing by Microsoft group companies and subprocessors outside the European Economic Area, depending on the service and support functions. Processing is not necessarily limited to Greece or the EU.
Microsoft’s published terms provide mechanisms for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, adequacy decisions. See the Microsoft Data Protection Addendum. You can ask us for information about recipients and applicable safeguards, and for a copy of those safeguards.
7. How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship: our sales team deletes them from company email during its monthly review once 12 months have passed without substantive communication. This is a company procedure, not an automatic website deletion mechanism.
- Enquiries that lead to a business relationship: necessary information becomes part of the customer file and is retained to carry out the relationship and meet related contractual, tax or legal obligations. The notice for that relationship explains the relevant processing.
- Updates list: details are used until you withdraw consent or the relevant updates activity ends. Deleting an enquiry does not, by itself, cancel a separate subscription to updates.
- Consent and withdrawal: necessary evidence is retained for as long as needed to demonstrate lawful communication and resolve a related dispute. After withdrawal, a minimal suppression record may be kept while the relevant mailing list is used, solely to prevent further messages.
- Technical logs and backups: these follow the infrastructure’s logging, cleanup and replacement cycle. Retention needs relate to diagnosing technical problems, investigating specific incidents and restoring operation. Limited records may need to remain until a relevant investigation or legal obligation is resolved. Deletion from active email does not mean immediate deletion from every backup.
Where information relates to a specific outstanding legal obligation or claim, retention is limited to what is needed and until the reason no longer applies. You can request information about the retention of your own data at sales@clevereye.eu.
9. Your rights
Depending on the legal basis and GDPR conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and, at any time, to direct marketing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.
Send your request to sales@clevereye.eu. We may ask only for the information needed to verify your identity. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month. If a lawful extension is needed because of the complexity or number of requests, we will inform you within the first month, explaining the reason and the extension, which can be up to two further months.
You may also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority where you habitually live, work or where the alleged infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us first.
10. Changes to this policy
The date and version at the top identify the latest update. If the use of information changes materially, we will update this notice and seek new consent where required. Visiting the site alone does not constitute consent to marketing.
